Overall Assessment: This is a very nice honest example of a Springfield WWII era M1 Garand. This rifle retains about 90% of its original metal finish. There is some wear in the typical high spots. It cycles and functions perfectly. I have not fired this rifle, but I have a high degree of confidence that it functions and fires as it should. With a low, early war, six-digit serial number this is a very nice rifle to add to a collection.
